Program Notes
In March, the temperature in Antarctica was once 38.5 degrees higher than the seasonal average. This climate change is a result of global warming caused by human activities, leading to rapid sea level rise and severe natural disasters worldwide, posing a significant threat to humanity and all life on Earth. Based on this, I depicted the process of glacier dissolution using modern soundscapes, selecting sound materials unfamiliar to the audience in hopes that they would reflect on the message conveyed by the work, and conceived the overall composition.
